FAQ
Short answers to the questions we are asked most often.
Is AnonFund custodial?
No. The contract holds BNB, but nobody controls the contract. Only a signature from a campaign’s claim key can release that campaign’s balance.
What does it cost?
Nothing beyond BNB Chain gas. Creating a campaign is one transaction; donating and claiming are one each.
Which tokens are supported?
Native BNB only. Supporting ERC-20 tokens would require per-token accounting and approvals; it is out of scope for this version.
Can I edit a campaign after creating it?
No. Title, description and goal are immutable. You can close it and start a new one. Donations already received stay claimable.
What happens when the goal is reached?
Nothing automatic. The goal is a progress indicator. Donations continue until the creator closes the campaign.
I lost my claim code.
Connect the creator wallet, open the campaign and use Issue new claim code. The balance is unaffected. See claim codes.
I lost the creator wallet but still have the claim code.
You can still claim all current and future donations with the code. You cannot close the campaign or rotate the key.
Can I claim to a hardware wallet or exchange deposit address?
Yes — any address that accepts plain BNB transfers. Smart-contract wallets must accept value from a low-level call or the claim reverts.
Can I claim part of the balance?
Yes. Enter an amount smaller than the balance. Each claim uses one nonce and can go to a different recipient.
Are donations anonymous?
Not by default. Donations are normal transactions. See donor privacy for guidance.
Is there a backend or database?
No. The site is a static client that reads and writes the contract directly through your wallet and a public RPC. Nothing is logged server-side.
Why BNB Chain?
Low fees make small donations and multiple partial claims practical, and the audience we serve is largely there.
